Mason Taylor Leal, 33, of Austin, Texas, left this world far too soon on September 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of boundless compassion and selfless service that touched countless lives across two countries.
Mason Leal was a founding partner at Chinchilla Leal. With over six years of litigation experience, Mason represented clients across the United States in a wide range of Texas legal matters. Known for his aggressive and passionate advocacy, Mason was relentless in protecting his clients’ rights and advancing their interests in and out of the courtroom.
Mason’s practice focused on complex commercial and tort litigation, including personal injury, wrongful death, contract disputes, business litigation, insurance coverage issues, and professional negligence. He also had extensive experience representing clients in alternative dispute resolution, where his tenacious approach and strategic mindset continued to deliver strong results.
Before co-founding Chinchilla Leal with his close friend and colleague Alejandro Chinchilla, Mason honed his skills in the courts of Dallas and West Texas, developing a reputation for fearless litigation and uncompromising client service. His experience spanned from high-stakes corporate conflicts to deeply personal injury cases—each handled with the same level of intensity and dedication.
Mason earned his B.S. in Supply Chain Management from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2014, and his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2019. At Texas Tech, Mason distinguished himself as a member of the Board of Barristers, president of the Hispanic Law Students Association, and recipient of the Top Comment Award from the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal in 2018.
